As requested by the participants in 2007, we have invited a representative of a pharmaceutical company to give an introduction into the regulations of the pharmaceutical industry. During a two-day workshop “Presenting Science - comprehensive, competent and convincing” the students will be trained in presentation skills. This training is mainly based on practical exercises. This new skills can than be used directly by the students, when presenting their scientific work to the others.

Social event : Red Stone Castle

Not far from Bratislava, outside the village of Èastá, lies the picturesque castle of Èervený Kameò, which was built in the 13th century by Queen Constance.
While most Slovak castles ended up in ruins, Èervený Kameò has been preserved and visitors can vividly imagine what medieval castles looked like and how people lived in them. We have the Pálffy family to thank for this, as they always had the castle repaired after fires and damage.

The tour will be completed by a visit of the nearby vineyards and joined dinner.

Costs and Reimbursement

NeuroPrion will cover the travel expenses and accommodation for all participants. In order to simplify the reimbursement procedures, the accommodation and other local expenses will directly be paid by the hosting institute. The travel expenses shall be reimbursed by the different, participating NeuroPrion partners. Each NeuroPrion partners will receive these expenses as an additional budget for 2008 and shall be declared in the financial form in 2008.

The application form is attached and should be sent back to Jens Schell (jens.schell@cea.fr) before the 1st July 2008. Depending on the available places more than one person per NeuroPrion partner might be accepted.
